Gillian Caughey
Founder / Financial Demon / Fearless Team Leader
I believe in making an impact. Before I started Fearless, I worked for a Big Four firm where everyone’s main focus was money. Though I learned so much during this time, I also knew my heart wasn’t in it. It was when a business owner told me I wasn’t like his accountant because he felt he could actually talk to me that something clicked. I knew I wanted to use my skills and privilege to make a real difference and support the type of people that inspire me. From there, Fearless Financials was born.
My favourite thing about my job is getting to learn about you; I love hearing my clients’ stories, discussing their dreams and goals, and putting together a plan to reach them. Together, we create a ripple effect of enrichment and impact that spreads farther than any one person’s reach could. When I’m off the clock, I’m usually spending time with my partner, learning parkour with my son, or helping fund awesome projects in Glasgow through Project Awesome!
Before joining the Fearless team in 2019, I ran a Community Interest Company in Glasgow called The Project Cafe. Six years of owning a business taught me a whole lot of valuable lessons, and now I get to pass those lessons on to other creative and inspirational business owners in my work with Fearless. Day to day, you’ll find me managing payroll, self assessment, and finetuning our systems so everything runs as smoothly as possible. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my son or working on the old cottage my husband and I are currently renovating, all fueled by plenty of coffee and snacks.

You might not believe me, but I’ve always wanted to work in accounting. From a young age, I had a passion for maths, and as I learned more about the industry I realised how vital bookkeepers are to any business running smoothly and successfully. I love helping our unique, creative clients reach their goals while I strive toward mine – I’m currently studying for my AAT qualification! When I’m not helping prepare our clients’ financial records or handling various admin duties, you’ll likely find me kicking a ball about in Falkirk Stadium. Next to maths, there’s nothing I love more than football, and I’m proud to say I’ve captained Glasgow City FC to multiple youth Scottish cup finals. Whether you’re looking for a clean set of books or a quick round of footy in the park, you can count on me.
